Benin forward Aloko wins MLS Next Pro Player of the Month

Benin international Rodolfo Aloko has been named MLS Next Pro Player of the Month for March after an outstanding run of form in the United States.

The young forward earned the award following a prolific spell in front of goal, scoring six times and providing two assists in just four matches.

His contributions, averaging nearly a goal every 60 minutes, have made him one of the standout performers in the league.

Aloko’s impact has been key to his team’s strong start to the new month, with his sharp finishing and attacking movement consistently troubling opposition defences.

Beyond his goals, he has also shown creativity and awareness, proving he can both score and create chances.

His performances have not gone unnoticed, with growing calls for a promotion to the senior side of Charlotte FC.

Reports suggest a move to the first team could be imminent if he maintains his current level.

Still early in his career, Aloko is already showing maturity in his play, combining technical quality with confidence and composure.

Training reports indicate he remains focused and determined, maintaining high standards as he continues his development.

The forward’s rise is also a significant boost for Benin, with the national team closely monitoring his progress.

Having previously represented his country at youth level, including at the 2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, he is now pushing for greater involvement at senior level.

With a market value of around €1 million and growing recognition abroad, Aloko’s trajectory points towards bigger opportunities ahead.
