Romelu Lukaku has once again been offered to Fenerbahce as the Belgium striker considers his options for the 2026-27 season, while a move to Saudi Arabia is also emerging as a possibility.
The 33-year-old is entering the final year of his contract with Napoli, but his future at the club is increasingly uncertain after a disappointing 2025-26 campaign on an individual level. He is not expected to be Massimiliano Allegri’s first-choice striker when Napoli begin their preparations for the new season.
Reports in Italy say Napoli would be willing to consider offers of only €10m for their experienced centre-forward. Despite that relatively modest asking price, however, no transfer away from Stadio Maradona has yet been completed.
Lukaku’s situation has attracted interest from several destinations. MLS club Atlanta United have been linked with a move for Belgium’s all-time leading goalscorer in recent days, while reports in Turkey on Friday claimed that the striker had again been proposed to Fenerbahce.
According to TRT Spor reporter Doruk Tecimer, Lukaku has been ‘offered’ to the Turkish club. It is not the first occasion on which Fenerbahce have been presented with the opportunity to sign him.
The striker was reportedly offered to the Turkish giants during the January transfer window and was put forward to them again about a month ago. However, there have been no formal discussions so far between Fenerbahce, Napoli or Lukaku’s representatives.
Turkey remains a serious option for Lukaku as he looks for a new club before the 2026-27 season, but Friday’s update suggests the forward is also assessing the possibility of moving to Saudi Arabia.
Lukaku’s next step will therefore depend on whether one of the interested clubs is prepared to meet Napoli’s valuation and agree personal terms with the player. For now, the Belgium international remains under contract with the Italian club, although Napoli’s willingness to accept an offer of €10m could make a departure possible during the current transfer window.
Atlanta United, Fenerbahce and potential Saudi Arabian clubs are among the options now being considered, but no formal negotiations have yet been reported with Fenerbahce or any other side. The striker’s future is expected to remain a significant transfer issue as he approaches the final year of his Napoli contract.
