Manchester City are nearing an agreement with LOSC for the transfer of highly rated midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, with negotiations between the two clubs reportedly entering their final stage.
According to Foot Mercato, discussions have advanced significantly and an agreement is now considered imminent. The proposed deal for the 18-year-old is expected to be worth close to €100m, although some final details still need to be settled before the transfer can be officially completed.
Bouaddi is regarded as one of the leading talents of his generation and has emerged as Manchester City’s priority target for strengthening their midfield. The France-born player of Moroccan heritage is said to have been persuaded by the sporting project presented by the English club.
The report also states that Bouaddi has already agreed to join the squad of Enzo Maresca. A number of details remain outstanding before the move can be formally announced, but, barring an unexpected change, Bouaddi is expected to continue his career in the Premier League.
LOSC had been aware that retaining their young midfielder would be difficult, given the interest from several major European clubs. His current valuation is listed at €80m by Transfermarkt, while his contract with LOSC runs until the summer of 2029.
Bouaddi, who was born in Senlis, currently earns an annual salary of €1.09m in France, equivalent to 708.5m CFA francs.
The potential transfer represents a significant financial return for LOSC, but it would also bring an end to the club’s efforts to keep one of its most promising players. Bouaddi’s age and reputation have made him one of the most sought-after young midfielders in the European market this summer.
