Fisnik Asllani is set to join RB Leipzig from Hoffenheim in a €25m transfer, with the deal awaiting the striker’s medical examination.
The clubs have agreed the terms of the move, according to Sky Sport, and Asllani is scheduled to undergo his medical in Austria on Thursday. The transfer will be formally completed once that process has been successfully concluded.
The 22-year-old forward is expected to sign a contract with RB Leipzig running until the summer of 2031. Hoffenheim will also retain a 10% sell-on clause, meaning the club would receive a share of any future transfer fee if Asllani is sold on.
The impending move follows a period in which Asllani was left out of Hoffenheim’s squad for their pre-season training camp. His absence was linked to preparations for the transfer, with the club and player moving towards an agreement with RB Leipzig.
Asllani has made 45 appearances for Hoffenheim’s first team, registering 21 goal contributions during that time. The Kosovo forward will now continue his career with RB Leipzig, subject to the completion of his medical.
The agreement represents a long-term commitment from RB Leipzig, who are preparing to bring Asllani into their squad on a contract lasting six years. The €25m fee makes the move a significant investment in the 22-year-old, while Hoffenheim’s retained sell-on percentage provides the club with a financial interest in the player’s future.
