Ivory Coast continue their return to the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations on Friday when they face South Africa in their second Group B match at the 2026 tournament in Morocco, with qualification for the quarter-finals already within reach.
The match will be played at Stade Moulay Rachid in Casablanca, kicking off at 19:00 in France and 17:00 in Ivory Coast.

Ivory Coast target early place in last eight
–
The Elephantes made a powerful statement on their return to the Women’s AFCON after a 12-year absence, thrashing Burkina Faso 4-1 in their opening game.
Ines Konan scored twice, while Rebecca Elloh and Safi N’sira added further goals to complete a convincing victory.
That result has put Ivory Coast top of Group B on goal difference ahead of Tanzania.
With another win, they aim to secure their place in the quarter-finals with a game to spare and emulate hosts Morocco, who on Thursday became the first side to book a spot in the knockout stage by eliminating Algeria.
If Ivory Coast do advance, it will only be the second time in their history they have reached the knockout rounds of the Women’s AFCON, following their landmark run in 2014.
South Africa seek response after opening defeat
—
Standing in their way are South Africa, who finished fourth at the previous edition of the Women’s AFCON and arrive in Casablanca needing a response.
They lost their opening match 2-1 against Tanzania and are described as determined to make amends after that setback.
Ivory Coast know they must contain a South Africa side eager to get their campaign back on track if they are to confirm their progression from Group B at the earliest opportunity.
