Colin Dagba: Ex-PSG right-back in talks over free transfer to US Boulogne from Beerschot exit

French-Beninese right-back Colin Dagba, currently without a club after leaving Beerschot VA, is being linked with a return to France with Ligue 2 side US Boulogne.

Dagba, 27, is a free agent following the end of his spell in Belgium, where he most recently played in the Challenger Pro League. Boulogne are exploring a deal to bring in the defender as they look to add experience on the right side of their back line ahead of the new campaign, with his current market value listed at around €500,000.

The move would mark a homecoming of sorts for the Bethune-born defender, who came through Boulogne’s youth ranks before being picked up as a teenager by Paris Saint-Germain. He went on to make 76 Ligue 1 appearances for PSG and its loan destinations, as well as featuring seven times in the UEFA Champions League during his time on the books in the French capital.

Dagba’s career peak came at PSG, where he was part of squads that won three Ligue 1 titles, including the 2021-22 championship. More recently, he helped AJ Auxerre secure promotion from Ligue 2 in 2023-24 during a loan spell, finishing that season as French second-tier champions.

After a free transfer from PSG to Beerschot in September 2024, Dagba moved on again at the start of July 2026 and is now assessing options as a free agent. Boulogne’s interest reflects their search for proven domestic experience, with discussions over a potential deal yet to progress to an advanced stage.
