Italy-Nigeria forward Raphael Odogwu is being linked with a move from Serie B side Sudtirol to Serie C outfit Treviso, in a potential deal that would see the experienced striker drop a division for more regular action.
Odogwu, 35, has been with Sudtirol since 2020 and is under contract until 30 June 2027, so any transfer is likely to require Treviso to negotiate a fee rather than pursue a free move. He is currently valued at around €250,000, a figure that would make him a relatively affordable target for an ambitious third-tier club seeking a proven attacking focal point.
Born in Verona and standing 1.88m tall, the left-footed centre-forward has built a substantial career across Italy’s professional and semi-professional tiers. At Sudtirol he was part of the side that won the Serie C Group A title in 2021-22, helping the club secure promotion before establishing themselves in Serie B.
Odogwu has made 134 appearances in Serie B, scoring 25 goals and adding 18 assists, underlining his ability to contribute consistently at that level. A move to Treviso would reunite him with the challenges of Serie C Group A, where he has previously featured and where his experience could carry particular weight in a promotion push.
Sudtirol signed Odogwu on a free transfer from Virtus Verona in September 2020 and have since seen his value rise, peaking at €1.1 million earlier in his spell with the club. With one year still to run after the coming season on his current deal, Sudtirol remain in a strong contractual position as interest from Treviso develops.
