Italy-Morocco right winger Soufiane Belward has joined SS Pennarossa on a free transfer from Fiorentino. The 22-year-old has signed a deal running until 30 June 2027 with the Campionato Sammarinese club.
Belward switches to Pennarossa after two seasons in San Marino’s top flight with Fiorentino, having moved there in 2024, also on a free. His arrival strengthens Pennarossa’s options in the wide attacking areas ahead of the new campaign.
The winger has accumulated significant experience in San Marino despite his age, making 57 league appearances with nine goals and four assists, as well as contributing in the play-offs and the Coppa Titano. Across all domestic competitions, he has passed the 4,600-minute mark on the pitch, underlining his status as a regular starter.
Belward’s form has seen his market value rise to €50,000, the highest of his career so far. He previously played for Santa Sofia and Civitella after joining Civitella from Diegaro in 2022, progressing through Italian lower-league football before establishing himself in the Sammarinese championship.
Capable of operating across the attack but primarily used on the right, Belward offers Pennarossa a direct threat from wide areas and added depth for their forward line. His move is the latest in a series of free transfers that have shaped his career path in recent seasons.
Belward’s transfer from Fiorentino to Pennarossa is a completed free move, with the winger now under contract at his new club until the summer of 2027.
