Moroccan goalkeeper Badreddine Abyir has joined Ittihad Tanger on a free transfer from Botola Pro Inwi rivals Hassania. The 27-year-old moves after his contract with the Agadir club came to an end, strengthening the Tanger side’s options in goal ahead of the new campaign.
Abyir, who was born in Casablanca and stands at 1.94m, is left-footed and will occupy his natural position as goalkeeper at his new club. His switch keeps him in Morocco’s top flight and comes with his market value currently assessed at around €400,000.
The move to Ittihad Tanger ends a two-year spell with Hassania, whom he joined in August 2022, also on a free transfer. During his time there he established himself in the Botola Pro Inwi and built on his reputation in the Moroccan game.
Before arriving at Hassania, Abyir had spells with Olympique Dcheira and CR Bernoussi, progressing through the domestic leagues to reach the top tier. That path has now taken him to Tanger, where he will compete for the number one shirt.
Abyir’s transfer to Ittihad Tanger was completed on 20 July 2026 as a permanent free transfer within the Moroccan Botola Pro Inwi.
