Cote d’Ivoire will play Tanzania in their third and final group match at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations 2026 on Tuesday, with a place in the quarter-finals within reach.
The Group B fixture will kick off at 22:00 French time and 20:00 in Cote d’Ivoire at Stade Larbi Zaouli in Casablanca, Morocco. Viewers in France can watch the match live on beIN Sports Max 4, while the game will be shown in Cote d’Ivoire on Canal+ Sport and RTI.
Reynald Pedros’ side are currently top of Group B after taking four points from their opening two matches. Cote d’Ivoire began the tournament with a 4-1 victory over Burkina Faso before drawing 2-2 with South Africa.
That run has left the Ivorians one point clear of both Burkina Faso and Tanzania. Burkina Faso are second and Tanzania third, with goal difference separating the two teams.
The situation means a draw will be enough for Cote d’Ivoire to secure their place in the last eight. Qualification would see the Orange reach the knockout stage for the second time in as many appearances at the tournament.
Their previous appearance in the knockout rounds came after the 2014 edition, when Cote d’Ivoire recorded their best result in the history of the competition by finishing third.
Tanzania, known as the Twiga Stars, are also still firmly in contention for a quarter-final place. Tuesday’s meeting will be the first time the two nations have faced one another in the finals of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
They have, however, already met during qualifying in September 2023. Cote d’Ivoire won the first match 2-0, but Tanzania responded with a 2-0 victory in the return fixture.
Cote d’Ivoire therefore enter the final group game knowing exactly what is required to progress: avoid defeat and their place in the quarter-finals will be confirmed. Tanzania, meanwhile, will be aiming to improve on their current third-place position and keep their own qualification hopes alive.
The match will take place on Tuesday evening at Stade Larbi Zaouli in Casablanca, with the 22:00 start in France corresponding to 20:00 local time in Cote d’Ivoire. The game is available live on beIN Sports Max 4 in France, and on Canal+ Sport and RTI in Cote d’Ivoire.
