Tobi Omole, the England-Nigeria centre-back, has joined Walton & Hersham from Tonbridge on a free transfer.
The 26-year-old defender completed the move on 5 August 2026, remaining in the National League South after leaving Tonbridge. No transfer fee was involved in the switch.
Omole is a left-footed central defender and was born in London. Standing at 1.89m, he adds experience in the English non-league system as Walton & Hersham strengthen their squad for the 2026-27 season.
His latest move follows a spell with Tonbridge, whom he joined in October 2025 after a period without a club. Before that, Omole had been with Wealdstone, also in the National League South, during the 2024-25 campaign.
Omole has made 19 National League South appearances during his career. He has also featured in League Two, the National League and the EFL Trophy, giving him experience across several levels of the English game.
His professional career began in the Arsenal academy, where he progressed from the club’s youth setup to its under-23 side. Omole moved to Tottenham’s under-23 team in October 2020 before joining Crawley Town in July 2022 on a free transfer.
He spent two seasons with Crawley, making appearances in League Two and cup competitions, before leaving the club in July 2024. A subsequent spell without a club preceded his move to Wealdstone, followed by his transfer to Tonbridge later in 2025.
Omole’s career record also includes 52 appearances and three goals in Premier League 2, along with 30 appearances and one goal in the Under-18 Premier League. He has additionally played in the EFL Cup and the Premier League International Cup at youth and development level.
The defender now continues his career with Walton & Hersham, completing a free transfer from Tonbridge on 5 August 2026.
