French-Guinean right-back Thierno Balde has joined the ranks of players without a club after leaving Troyes.
The 24-year-old’s departure was recorded on 3 August 2026, ending his time with the French club. Balde’s next destination and the length of his next contract have not been established, while no transfer fee has been given for his exit.
Balde played primarily as a right-back during his time in France and is right-footed. Standing at 1.82m, he developed through the Paris St-Germain academy before progressing into senior football.
He joined Troyes from PSG in August 2022 in a move valued at €3m. Before that switch, Balde had spent the 2021-22 campaign on loan at Le Havre AC, returning to PSG at the end of the temporary spell before moving permanently to Troyes.
His senior experience includes 44 appearances in Ligue 2 and 31 in Ligue 1. He registered two assists in the top flight, while also featuring in domestic cup football and youth competitions earlier in his career.
Balde began his development with US Senart before joining PSG’s youth system in 2016. He moved through the club’s under-17 and under-19 teams before becoming part of the senior PSG setup in 2021.
The defender has represented both France and Guinea as his listed nationalities. His playing record includes appearances in the National Under-19 league, the Uefa Youth League and the Coupe Gambardella, alongside his senior career in France.
Balde now leaves Troyes after four years at the club and is without a club from 3 August 2026.
