Guinean-French defender Saidou Sow is being linked with a move from Strasbourg to Nantes, with the Ligue 2 club interested in the 24-year-old centre-back.
Sow is currently back at Strasbourg after spending the second half of the 2025-26 season on loan at Clermont Foot. That temporary move ended on 30 June, and he returned to the Ligue 1 side, where his contract runs until June 2028.
The defender joined Strasbourg from Saint-Etienne for €3m in August 2023. He made 59 Ligue 1 appearances during his career, scoring three goals and providing three assists, and has also played 38 times in Ligue 2.
Sow’s most recent spell away from Strasbourg followed an earlier loan at Nantes in the second half of the 2024-25 season. He returned to Strasbourg at the end of that campaign before moving to Clermont Foot in February 2026.
Nantes are preparing for the 2026-27 season in Ligue 2 and are now linked with a return for a player who has already spent time at the club. No transfer has been confirmed, with Sow remaining under contract at Strasbourg.
