Italy and Burkina Faso midfielder Abdul Alim Compaore is being linked with a move from Verona U18 to Roma U20 in Italy’s Primavera 1 league.
The 16-year-old defensive midfielder joined Verona U18 on 1 July 2026 after moving up from Hellas U17. He had previously been with Brescia’s youth setup before joining Hellas U17 in August 2025.
Compaore has made four appearances for Verona U18 this season, playing 142 minutes. His record in Under-17 football includes 23 appearances and two goals in the Under 17 – B competition, as well as two appearances in the Under 17 Finals.
The possible move would see Compaore switch Verona’s Under-18 team for Roma’s Under-20 side, which competes in Primavera 1. The link between the clubs emerged on 5 August, with the midfielder still listed as a Verona U18 player.
Compaore was born on 28 September 2009 and is eligible to represent both Italy and Burkina Faso. He joined Verona at the start of the 2026-27 campaign and remains part of the club’s Under-18 squad.
