Despite the doubts within the club’s hierarchy, Real Madrid are not ready to abandon their interest and intend to try once more to persuade the player.
The situation leaves the proposed move uncertain. Real Madrid’s leadership is understood to retain a negative view of the likelihood of bringing Rodri to the club, yet the midfielder remains a target and the club plans to explore whether an agreement can still be found.
Earlier reports stated that Rodri was not satisfied with the financial terms offered by Real Madrid. Those conditions have therefore become a significant obstacle in negotiations, with the midfielder yet to be convinced by the proposal put forward by the Madrid club.

That does not remove Barcelona from the wider picture, but it means Real Madrid’s proposed renewed approach comes while their domestic rivals are directing their attention towards a different player. Rodri’s future consequently remains unresolved, with Real Madrid still facing doubts over both the financial terms and the overall feasibility of the transfer.
