Azzedine Ounahi and Anas Salah Eddine have seen their market values fall by a combined €4m, while several other Morocco internationals have also recorded significant decreases in the latest figures from Transfermarkt.
Ounahi, who plays for Greek club Panathinaikos, has seen his valuation drop from €18m to €16m. The decline follows his move to the Greek league after previously maintaining a higher valuation during his time in Europe’s more prominent competitions.
Salah Eddine has experienced a similar reduction. His market value has fallen from €12m to €10m, meaning the combined value of the two Morocco internationals has decreased by €4m.
The latest figures highlight a wider decline among several players in the Morocco national team, with their market valuations changing significantly in recent months.
One of the biggest reductions concerns defender Nayef Aguerd, who plays for Olympique Marseille. His current market value is listed at €15m, compared with a previous high of €30m.
Aguerd has therefore seen his valuation fall by half from the highest figure recorded for him, according to the figures cited from Transfermarkt.
Ibrahim Diaz has also experienced a decrease in his valuation. The Real Madrid player is now valued at around €35m, having previously reached €45m. His market value had also been estimated at approximately €40m at an earlier stage.
The changes underline how market valuations can fluctuate during a player’s career.
The figures are influenced by several factors, including the level of competition in which a player operates, the number of appearances, individual performances, consistency and the role occupied within a club.
For Ounahi and Salah Eddine, their move to Panathinaikos provides an opportunity to improve their performances and potentially rebuild their market value.
Regular involvement and strong displays for the Greek club could help both players increase their valuations again. Their performances in domestic competition, as well as their involvement in European football, could contribute to any future changes in their market standing.
International football also remains another platform for the Morocco players to demonstrate their ability.
Continued involvement with the national team gives Ounahi and Salah Eddine opportunities to perform in front of a wider audience, including scouts and followers monitoring major international competitions.
The same applies to Aguerd and Diaz, who will also be looking to produce performances that can influence their market valuations.
The latest figures show that the current valuations of the four players remain below the highest levels they have reached during their careers.
For Ounahi, Salah Eddine, Aguerd and Diaz, the next stage will be focused on performances on the pitch as they seek to rebuild the market value reflected in their previous figures.
The €4m combined reduction for Ounahi and Salah Eddine is part of a wider movement in the valuations of Morocco internationals, with the latest Transfermarkt figures showing significant changes across the group.
