Moroccan defender Issam Kaabouni has joined USM Oujda from CM El Marsa on a free transfer, giving the club a new option at left-back for the 2026-27 season.
Kaabouni, 30, completed the move on 5 August 2026 after one season with CM El Marsa. The transfer continues a series of free moves for the Fes-born player, who has changed clubs without a fee in each of his last four transfers.
The left-back joined CM El Marsa from JS Massira in July 2025. Before that, he spent two seasons with JS Massira after arriving from Amal Tiznit in 2023. His earlier career also included a spell with CSH Tarast, which he joined in 2020.
Kaabouni’s most recent recorded appearance came for CM El Marsa in the Moroccan Coupe du Trone, where he played 120 minutes. He also appears in the club’s squad record for the Excellence Cup.
A right-footed defender who stands 1.79 metres tall, Kaabouni has played primarily on the left side of defence. His arrival gives USM Oujda an experienced Moroccan option in that position as the new campaign begins.
The move to Oujda is the latest step in a career that has taken Kaabouni through several Moroccan clubs. He joined Amal Tiznit from CSH Tarast in July 2021, before moving on to JS Massira two years later and CM El Marsa in 2025.
With the switch to USM Oujda, Kaabouni remains in Moroccan football and begins a new chapter at his fifth recorded club. The transfer was completed on 5 August 2026, with no fee involved.
