French-Moroccan defensive midfielder Mohamed Tariqui has joined FCE MA from Trelissac FC on a free transfer, completing his move on 4 August 2026.
The 24-year-old switches between two clubs in France’s National 2 – Group A, having spent the 2025-26 season with Trelissac. Tariqui made 22 appearances in the competition and scored three goals during the campaign.
Tariqui brings experience in central midfield to FCE MA, where he is listed as a defensive midfielder. He is right-footed and stands 1.84m tall, providing the club with an established option in the middle of the pitch.
Before joining Trelissac, Tariqui spent the 2024-25 season with Stade Bordelais, also moving there as a free transfer. He had previously played for Merignac, joining the club from its under-19 side in 2021 before making the switch to Stade Bordelais in July 2022.
His record includes 25 National 2 appearances and four goals in one campaign, as well as four appearances in the Coupe de France. He also played twice in the Coupe Gambardella and scored once in the youth competition.
Tariqui was born in Pessac and holds French and Moroccan nationality. His arrival gives FCE MA a player with experience across National 2 and domestic cup football, while continuing a run of moves between clubs in the French semi-professional game.
The transfer was completed on 4 August, with Tariqui leaving Trelissac after one season at the club. He has now joined FCE MA as a free agent.
