Abderrahmane Sarr has joined Raufoss on loan from fellow Norwegian club Troms IL, giving the OBOS-ligaen side a new Mauritanian goalkeeper until the end of 2026.
The move was completed on 2 September, with Sarr’s loan scheduled to run until 31 December. He will then return to Troms IL, according to the terms of the transfer. No fee has been disclosed for the deal.
Sarr, 21, arrives at Raufoss after moving to Troms IL from Nouakchott King in January 2026. His switch to Troms marked his first move away from Mauritania, having previously played for Nouakchott King and ASAC Concorde.
The goalkeeper began his senior club career with ASAC Concorde after leaving Academie FFRIM in July 2022. He spent two years with ASAC Concorde before joining Nouakchott King in September 2024.
Sarr has made nine appearances in the Norsk Tipping-Ligaen avdeling 5 during 2026, recording two clean sheets and conceding 16 goals. He has not yet appeared in the Eliteserien, Norwegian football’s top division, for Troms IL.
The 1.87m goalkeeper is right-footed and was born in Riyad on 1 April 2005. He represents Mauritania and joins a Raufoss squad competing in Norway’s second tier.
His arrival comes during the 2026 campaign, with Raufoss also involved in the NM-Cup and European qualifying competitions. Sarr has not made an appearance in the NM-Cup, Eliteserien, UEFA Conference League qualifying or UEFA Europa League qualifying this season.
Raufoss are his third Norwegian club, following his brief spell with Troms IL. The loan means he will continue his career in Norway while returning to a side in the Eliteserien at the conclusion of the agreement.
Sarr’s registration with Raufoss was completed on 2 September 2026, and the Mauritania international is now contracted to the club on loan until 31 December.
