Danish-Burundian midfielder Sanders Ngabo has joined Lyngby BK from Swedish club Hacken on loan, returning to the club where he began his senior career.
Ngabo, 22, plays in central midfield and has moved back to Lyngby as the club compete in Denmark’s Superliga. The switch was completed on 2 September 2026, with the loan scheduled to run until 30 June 2027.
The right-footed midfielder was born in Sundby and stands 1.74m tall. He holds Danish and Burundian nationality and made the move to Hacken from AC Horsens in July 2025, joining the Swedish club after a permanent transfer valued at €1m.
Before that move, Ngabo spent the 2024-25 season with Horsens after leaving Philadelphia. His route through the professional game began in Denmark, with spells at Lyngby’s youth set-up and Lyngby BK Under-19s before he progressed into the club’s senior squad.
His return gives Lyngby a player with previous experience of the club’s system, having first joined its youth ranks from Sundby BK in August 2020. He moved into the Under-19 side the following year and later departed for Philadelphia in January 2024.
Ngabo’s latest move comes with his market value listed at €800,000. His current competitive record for the 2026-27 campaign shows no appearances, goals or assists in the Svenska Cupen, making the switch to Lyngby a fresh opportunity for regular involvement in Denmark.
Lyngby’s new midfielder is contracted to remain with the club until the end of the loan period, while the agreement provides for his return to Hacken on 30 June 2027. His arrival marks a return to the Danish club after more than two years away.
Ngabo has therefore completed a loan move from Hacken to Lyngby BK, with the transfer taking effect on 2 September 2026.
