Teenage midfielder Hedi Mezedjri has completed a move to SM Caen U19, with the Tunisia youth prospect joining the French club’s academy side on a free transfer from Aubagne Air U17.
Mezedjri, 16, arrives in Normandy as a central midfielder and will step straight into Caen’s under-19 set-up in the National U19 – Group A competition. The deal was finalised on 23 July 2026, strengthening the youth ranks of a club long recognised for developing talent through its academy structure.
Born on 10 September 2009, Mezedjri has been recruited specifically for a central role in midfield, offering options in the middle of the pitch for Caen’s U19 coaching staff. His switch from Aubagne Air’s under-17 side represents a step up in level, with Caen’s youth team competing in one of France’s key national junior leagues.
The move also places the Tunisian youngster into a pathway geared towards progression into senior football, with Caen regularly integrating academy graduates into higher age groups. Mezedjri’s arrival continues the club’s focus on adding technically trained midfielders to their youth squads.
Mezedjri is now registered as an SM Caen U19 player following the completion of his free transfer from Aubagne Air U17.
