Galatasaray transfer speculation puts Batrakov and Leao in the spotlight

Aleksey Batrakov of Moscow club Lokomotiv Moscow and Milan forward Rafael Leao have appeared on the front page of Turkish publication fotoMag amid reports linking both players with a move to Galatasaray.

The newspaper placed the two footballers prominently on its latest cover, presenting them in the context of the Istanbul club’s reported efforts to sign them.

Batrakov has emerged as a central figure in negotiations between Galatasaray and Lokomotiv Moscow. Reports previously stated that the Turkish club had increased its offer for the midfielder from €20m to €25m.

The two clubs are engaged in active discussions, and the likelihood of Batrakov completing a transfer is considered high.

The midfielder’s appearance on fotoMag’s front page reflects the growing attention surrounding the negotiations. Galatasaray’s interest has been accompanied by an improved financial proposal, with the reported increase intended to help advance talks with Lokomotiv Moscow.

Leao has also been linked with the Turkish club by insiders. Galatasaray are pushing forcefully in their attempts to reach an agreement with Milan, although they have so far been unable to secure the outcome they want.

The Portugal forward was featured alongside Batrakov despite the two transfer situations remaining separate. In both cases, however, the players have been associated with Galatasaray in reports concerning the club’s recruitment plans.

For Batrakov, the negotiations are described as active and the prospect of a move is viewed positively. For Leao, Galatasaray’s pursuit has yet to produce the desired result, with Milan continuing to resist the Istanbul club’s efforts.

fotoMag’s decision to place both players on its first page therefore brings together two of the names currently connected with Galatasaray. The cover comes as discussions over Batrakov’s possible move continue and as the Turkish side attempts to make progress in its approach for Leao.
