Endrick’s difficult start to life at Real Madrid could lead to another loan move in January, with Roma making the 20-year-old Brazilian forward one of their priorities for the winter transfer window.
The Spanish club are understood to be open to sending Endrick out on loan again, allowing him to play more regularly and regain the match rhythm he has struggled to find in Madrid. According to Foot Mercato, citing Corriere dello Sport, Roma are pushing to secure an agreement and have already begun working on the possibility of bringing him to the Italian capital.
Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi is reportedly attempting to advance negotiations, with the club keen to provide Endrick with a greater role than the one available to him at Real Madrid. Initial contact over a potential move is said to have started last summer.
Endrick and his father are understood to favour a move to Rome, particularly because it could allow the striker to play alongside his fellow Brazilian Wesley.
The prospect of a temporary transfer has emerged because of Endrick’s limited involvement under Real Madrid this season. He has played only four minutes in La Liga, leaving his continued absence from the team a concern for his development.
Real Madrid appear willing to consider a loan arrangement in January rather than allow the forward to remain on the bench. Regular first-team football would give Endrick the opportunity to rebuild his confidence and regain the competitive sharpness that comes from playing consistently.
Roma are not the only club monitoring the situation. Juventus are also keeping track of Endrick’s circumstances and are interested in a loan deal that would include an option to buy.
Despite his lack of opportunities at Real Madrid, Endrick has recently shown signs of returning to form. He produced encouraging performances for Brazil in their two most recent matches against Australia, offering renewed evidence that he may be able to restart his development away from the pressure surrounding the Spanish capital.
The coming winter window could therefore determine whether Endrick remains at Real Madrid to compete for limited minutes or moves temporarily to Italy in search of the regular football that has so far eluded him.
