Algeria winger Diaa Eddine Mechid has joined ES Ben Aknoun from Dinamo Makhachkala on loan, returning to his home country after seven months in Russia.
The 20-year-old right winger switches from the Russian Premier Liga to Algeria’s Ligue 1 and will remain with ES Ben Aknoun until 30 June 2027. Mechid is left-footed and can operate from the right side of attack.
Mechid moved to Dinamo Makhachkala from USM Alger on 2 February 2026 for €210,000. His spell in Russia followed a breakthrough season with USM Alger, where he was part of the squad that won both the CAF Confederation Cup and the Algerian Cup in 2025-26.
He had joined USM Alger’s senior side from the club’s under-21 team in July 2025. The two domestic and continental honours marked a notable period in his early senior career before his move abroad.
The loan takes Mechid back into Algerian football with ES Ben Aknoun, giving the club a new attacking option while placing the winger under contract with Dinamo Makhachkala beyond the current move. His recorded market value is €150,000.
Mechid was born in Jijel and represents Algeria. He is listed at 1.72m and has established himself as a wide attacking player, with his preferred position on the right flank.
His transfer history includes three senior moves since July 2025: promotion from USM Alger U21 to the first team, a permanent move to Dinamo Makhachkala and now a loan transfer to ES Ben Aknoun.
The move was completed on 2 September 2026, with Mechid joining ES Ben Aknoun on loan until 30 June 2027.
