Bilal El Khannouss could become one of the names to watch during the final weeks of the summer transfer window, with two Premier League clubs having made enquiries about the VfB Stuttgart midfielder.
The Morocco international is open to leaving the Bundesliga club if a proposal matches both his sporting ambitions and Stuttgart’s expectations, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg. However, there are currently no advanced negotiations for the 22-year-old.
Stuttgart are aware of the growing interest in El Khannouss but remain keen to keep the former KRC Genk player for the coming season. He is regarded as one of the key members of the squad and remains firmly part of the technical staff’s plans.
The German club have not completely ruled out a transfer, though. Should El Khannouss depart, Stuttgart would reportedly demand a fee of up to €60m, with additional bonuses potentially included in any agreement.
That valuation reflects the confidence the club has in the Morocco international’s ability and future development. El Khannouss has produced a series of notable performances since moving to the Bundesliga, helping to increase attention around his situation.
