Swiss-Angolan winger Ibrahim Mendes is the subject of a transfer rumour linking him with a move from Lausanne II to Basel. The 20-year-old right winger is valued at €200,000 and is under contract with Lausanne II until 30 June 2027.
Mendes has scored once in two Super League appearances this season, starting both matches and playing 69% of the available minutes. His goal participation stands at 50%, with one goal and no assists recorded.
The potential move would take Mendes from Lausanne II, listed in the 1. Liga Group 1, to Basel in the Swiss Super League. No transfer fee or probability has been attached to the rumour.
Mendes returned to Lausanne II on 30 June after completing a loan spell at Stade Nyonnais. He joined Stade Nyonnais temporarily on 30 January 2026, having initially moved to Lausanne II from StadeLO III on a free transfer in July 2024.
Born in Lausanne, Mendes has Switzerland and Angola listed as his nationalities. He is a right-footed attacker and has a market value of €200,000.
The rumour comes with Mendes having two years remaining on his Lausanne II contract, leaving his current club in control of his contractual position as Basel’s reported interest is considered.
