DR Congo international Arthur Masuaku is being linked with a move from Sunderland to Greek club Aris Saloniki.
The 32-year-old left-back joined Sunderland from Besiktas on a free transfer in August 2025 and remains under contract with the Premier League club until 30 June 2027.
Masuaku spent the second half of the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Lens, returning to Sunderland at the end of June. During his spell in France, he was part of the Lens side that won the French Cup.
He has since featured for DR Congo at the 2026 World Cup, starting all four of the team’s possible matches and providing one assist. He played 88% of the available minutes at the tournament.
A move to Aris would represent a return to the Greek Super League, where Masuaku previously played for Olympiacos. He won two league titles and the Greek Cup during his time with the club before joining West Ham in 2016.
Masuaku has also played in the Premier League, recording 108 appearances, one goal and nine assists during his time with West Ham. He later moved to Besiktas, winning the Turkish Cup and Turkish Super Cup before joining Sunderland.
The rumour was listed on 4 August 2026, with no transfer fee or probability attached to the proposed move. Masuaku’s contractual commitment to Sunderland currently runs through the end of June 2027.
