Lionel Flores says he is pleased to be part of the Argentina squad and ready to play for as long as the coach requires after their 7-0 friendly win over Burkina Faso.
Speaking to official Argentine Football Association media after the match on the morning of 4 October Beijing time, the 19-year-old said he had the energy to feature in several consecutive games.
“I’m still young, 19 years old, so I have the energy to play multiple matches in a row,” Flores said. “I’m happy to be here and available for as long as the coach wants me to play.”
Argentina’s players were interviewed following their commanding victory, with Jai also expressing his satisfaction at receiving a call-up.
“Every player wants to be called up, so I’m very happy,” he said. “Tuesday will be a very special and exciting night. Messi deserves everything; he has given us countless moments of joy.”
Mastantuono said he was comfortable taking up different positions depending on what the team needed.
“I like to play freely, playing wherever the team needs me,” he said. “Whether it’s on the wing or in the center, I’ll be ready wherever the team needs me.”
